Mr. Dylan Thomas

Hello Serra Family,
 
I am tremendously blessed to serve the Serra Community as a Math Teacher, PE-Health Teacher, and Strength and Conditioning Coordinator.
 
I graduated from the University of Southern California in 2010 with a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. While earning my degree, I worked as a Math Tutor, helping students in subjects ranging from foundational to college math.  After graduating, I pursued a career in Real Estate and Finance for over 12 years working for major banks such as Wells Fargo Bank and JP Morgan Chase.
 
I hope to impress on my students the practical applications of math and how the problem-solving skills they develop in my class are crucial to their success in the real world.  I truly believe that as we are developing our students academically, it is equally important to develop young men and women that embody the Cavalier Code. 
 
The most important quality we can nurture in our students is the kindness and empathy with which they treat others.  Our students are the future leaders of our community and I consider it an incredible honor and privilege to take part in developing the outstanding people they grow to be.
