News and Announcements

Under the direction of Mr. Wissa, our Math Enrichment Team for the 2nd year in a row has won 1st place in the nation and 1st place in its division for the Catholic Math League for 2010/2011 school year with total score of 288 out of 300 pts. Our team was competing against 29 High Schools around the nation; total 498 students were involved in this competition. You may check this information by visiting the website (www.educontest.com).

Huy Nguyen won 1st place in the nation and division as an individual with total 100 out of 100 pts

Oun Yu Pang won the 4th place in the division

Congratulations to the Team for another successful year at The Catholic Math League Competition!

Briana Ani made it to the State Science Fair. She received 3rd place under the Physics and Astronomy category. She was competing with 31 other projects.

Christopher Boyer, together with Daniel Walker, Francisco Olloqui, and Onochie Ani earned the Recognition Award in the Applied Physics category.

Congratulations to all of our Serra students who participated in the Science Fair this year! Way to go!

Jasmine has been selected to participate in the People to People Ambassador Program where she will travel to Europe (several cities in Spain) and attend leadership classes with other students from Los Angeles. Way to go, Jasmine!

Jasmine Wilson who is currently a Serra senior, Serra Cheerleader, and Honor Roll recipient has been recognized, by the Discus Awards Program, as a 2010-2011 Discus Award winner for her outstanding achievement providing service in her school as well as in her community. Way to go, Jasmine!
