Gardena, CA (May 12, 2015) – Serra High School’s own Patrick Casis beat out a number of applicants to win the Gardena Elks Lodge Most Valuable Student Scholarship for 2015. The winner is honored as one of the top students in the South Bay. Casis was sent a formal congratulations letter yesterday from Elks Chairman Scott Nakashima inviting him to an honorary dinner on Wednesday.
Casis currently holds a 4.5 GPA, is ranked second in his class, and is attending the Jacobs School of Engineering at UCSD to pursue a degree in that field.
