Gardena, CA, February 4, 2013 – The Serra High School track team, coached by Lori Smith-Thompson, has been selected as a recipient of the 2013 National Scholastic Athletics Foundation (NSAF) Tony Wells Team/Club Development Grant. The committee was impressed with the program’s commitment to youth and believes that it embodies the NSAF’s mission to “inspire youth to live active, healthy lives and to prepare them for future success.”
The Serra track team is coming off several recent accomplishments, including:

• Boys & Girls CIF Div 4 champions
• Penn relays boys small school champions
• Penn relays girls Gold Watch 4x4 relay awardees
